It has its own importance as linked to the ancient king Vikramaditya of Ujjain (Avantika), who is said to have established the idol around 2,000 years ago. Maharana Pratap College was established by a well- known personality and social reformer Kunwar Indrajeet Singh Ji Bhati in the memory of his beloved father.
